WHAT WE DO
NANA partners with many local, non-profit agencies focusing on the senior population in our area. Meals on Wheels, local food banks, Serving Seniors and Veteran's Association's are just a few.
NANA holds a yearly, educational event that honors our social workers, offers CEU's, and educates our network on important topics that effect our senior population and/or our healthcare systems.
NANA provides support and guidance to our local hospitals, nursing homes, personal care homes, home health and hospice by acting as a "concierge" to help their patients/clients in need of services of all kinds.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

PUBLIC EDUCATION EVENTS
NEPA AGING NETWORK ALLIANCE AT A GLANCE
NEPA Aging Network Alliance was established in 2013 when members of the Senior Networking Alliance and the Coalition for Aging Services joined together with the goal of promoting awareness of services and issues affecting older adults in Northeast Pennsylvania. NANA is working to accomplish this goal through education, advocacy, networking and coalition building.
Our meetings consist of:
*Discussing current events effecting today's seniors
*Discuss upcoming NANA events and volunteer opportunities
*Guest speakers that cover our topics of interest
*Round-table discussion for marketing and networking purposes

2022 Santa "Paws" Fundraiser
NANA, in addition to our annual blanket and sock drive, raised money to purchase life-like pets to be donated to local facilities and agencies to older adults in need.
These pets bring calm and companionship to people with dementia and Alzheimer's and also for people near the end-of -life.
With the help and support of many donors, a local school and hospital, we were able to purchase close to 40 pets.

NANA 2022 Fall Conference
In October 2022, NANA hosted their annual Fall Conference. The topic this year was HOSPICE & PALLIATIVE CARE~ALL YOU QUESTIONS ANSWERED.
We were honored to have Dr. Glen Digwood from Geisinger CMC and Thomas Johnson-Medlan, Death Doula, speak about both topics in depth.
Over 80 people attended and CE's were offered.
All proceeds raised from this event will be used for our adult seniors in Lackawanna County.
